Holiday Cranberry Juleps

Combine 1 cup water, 3/4 cup sugar and 2 strips of fresh orange peel in a small saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil over high heat. Add 1 cup fresh cranberries and cook 2-3 minutes. Remove peels and refrigerate until cold. Strain mixture through sieve and stir in 1 cup bourbon. Pour evenly into tumblers filled with crushed ice. Garnish with sprigs of fresh mint. Serves 8.

Combine 6 ounces hot coffee, 1 ounce whiskey and 2 teaspoons sugar in tumbler and mix until sugar dissolves. Top with whipped cream and nutmeg and enjoy. Serves 1.

Sovaro Snowman Eggnog Recipe

Melted Snowman Eggnog

Combine 2 cups milk with 1/2 a teaspoon each of cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract. Bring mixture to a low boil in a small saucepan. Next, combine 6 egg yolks with 1/2 cup sugar in a large bowl and whisk until yolks pale. Slowly pour hot mixture into bowl and whisk to combine. Return mixture to saucepan and cook over medium heat until slightly thick. Remove and stir in 1 cup heavy cream and 1/3 cup bourbon or rum. Evenly divide into 4 tumblers and top with whipped cream and cinnamon. Serves 4.

Pour 2 ounces vodka and 1 ounce pomegranate juice into tumbler. Add 1 tablespoon each of pomegranate seeds and lime juice. Add 1 teaspoon of honey, then top with ginger beer, ice and a spring of rosemary. Serves 1.

Combine 1/2 cup each of whole milk and heavy cream and cook over low heat. Add 1 candy cane and stir until melted. Add 3 tablespoons sipping chocolate and 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, then remove from heat. Stir in 1 1/2 ounces Kahlua and pour into tumbler. Top with whipped cream and candy canes. Serves 1.
